Work Immersion Everyday Journal (Third Week)

   July 31, 2017                                                                                                        Monday

The first day of our work immersion for this week, I arrived at 12:56 pm. In this this day I'm assigned at the Grade 2 class. As I arrived there, I firstly guided and gave them instructions to answer their worksheet. Then, I checked their diary, corrected the wrong spelling of the words. While waiting to their next teacher I instructed the pupils to keep quiet by letting them to bow their heads but their teacher did not come. After that, I assisted the Grade 2 pupils to buy foods in the canteen. Sir Jhun instructed me to tell the following teachers to complete the reminders in their diary. He also instructed me to write down the complete names of the following grade level. At exactly 5:00 pm I assisted them in dismissal time, I make sure that they formed their line properly before going to the covered court. Before I leave the classroom, I cleaned first the area and arranged the things properly. Today I learned how to be more hardworking and be patience. My OJT end up at 6:23 pm.

   August 1, 2017                                                                                                      Tuesday

The second day of our work immersion, unfortunately I arrived late at 1:07 pm. Me and the following OJT's can't have the work immersion for this day. There's a protocol that once you arrived late you can no longer take the OJT for that day. But Sir Dennis instructed me to help Teacher Rachel list down all the names of the books in the library. Despite of this, I have done somehow.

   August 2, 2017                                                                                                       Wednesday

The third day with our work immersion, I arrived at 12:50 pm. The Government Office suspended the classes in the afternoon due to heavy rainfall. But some of the OJT's did their work immersion this day. I assigned in the library. I did inventory by listing all the names of the books in the shelves which are divided into Elementary Level and High School level. I make sure that I listed it properly and correctly. I also arranged all the books accordingly, my OJT end up at 6:00 pm.

   August 3, 2017                                                                                                       Thursday

The fourth day with our work immersion for this week, I arrived at 12:41 pm. I immediately went to Sir Jhun's Office to do the violation report of the students. But as I went to the Guidance Office, Teacher Marian told me that she will give the list later that's why I waited for it. I proceed to Grade 2 classroom to I help Teacher Julie Ann. I checked their diary and arranged it properly. Then I assisted Teacher Karen and help her to distribute the books. I assisted the pupils in buying their foods in canteen. After that, I assisted Sir Jerrymi with his English class and also Teacher Sherlene with her Math class. At exactly 5:00 pm, I assisted the Grade 2 pupils in waiting their fetchers. Before I leave the classroom, I cleaned it first. I also sweep the floor and erased the writings on the board. And lastly I fixed things in the cabinet properly. My OJT end up at 6:13 pm.

   August 4, 2017                                                                                                        Friday

The fifth day of our work immersion, I arrived at 12:39 pm. I firstly recorded the violations of following grade school pupils. After that, I proceed to Grade 2 classroom and checked their diary. Then, I helped Teacher Julie Ann and guided the pupils in answering their worksheet and seatwork. I assisted them to buy foods in the canteen. Sir Jhun instructed me to let the following teachers sign their assigned topics for the Student's Orientation. At exactly 5:00 pm, I aasisted the pupils to wait their fetchers. Before I leave the classroom, I sweep the floor and arranged the cabinet properly and accordingly. My OJT end up at 5:59 pm.

Work Immersion Everyday Journal (Second Week)

   July 24, 2017                                                                                                         Monday

The first day of our work immersion for this week, I arrived at 12:59 pm. Today Dr. Galicia assigned me in Grade 3 class to supervised them and help the teachers  in assisting their class. First I assist them in their first subject in the afternoon which is Math with Teacher Augustina. After one hour, they took their recess. I assisted them in buying their food in the canteen. I gave some instruction to make their classroom clean and organize. Then, I assisted Teacher Karen by helping one of the Grade 3 pupil in learning how to read for he to understand the following questions written in their worksheet. At exactly 5:00 pm I helped Sir Jerrymi in dismissing his class and assisted the pupils in waiting to their fetchers. This day I learned that patience is a virtue, because you have to be more patience for you to do your tasks properly and also when it comes to the lower level pupils.

   July 25, 2017                                                                                                         Tuesday

The second day of our work immersion, I arrived at 12:55 pm. Before I go to the assigned classroom for me, Dr. Galicia instructed us what we are going to do. She said that as we wear the corporate attire, we have to do our job as an OJT. Today I assigned in Grade 2 class where Teacher Julie Ann is the adviser. As I arrived to their classroom, I checked first their diary. Checking the wrong spelling and make it correctly. I instructed them to maintain the discipline inside their room. When Teacher Karen arrived as their first subject in the afternoon, I helped her to lessen the noise of the pupils. Then I assisted the Grade 2 pupils to buy their food in the canteen. After that, Sir Jerrymi started his English class to them. Their last subject is Math where Teacher Sherlene is their subject teacher. At exactly 5:00 pm, Teacher Julie Ann dismissed the pupils and I'm the one who assisted them. I secured that they form their line properly before they go to the court and wait their own fetchers. This day ended good because I learned something new again.

• Due to Typhoon Gorio, the Government of Cavite suspended the classes that's why the next three days of my OJT is also suspended. See you on the next update of my blog 😊

Work Immersion

It's been two weeks since we've started of our work immersion. My working place is in the Prefect of Discipline Office here at Sto. Niño De Praga Academy of La Paz Homes II, Inc. But now I'm assigned to assist the lower level pupils. The time that I consumed is already 43 hours and 16 minutes. Now I only have to gain 36 hours and 44 minutes to complete the 80 hours of being a On the Job Training (OJT). I learned how to make use the time correctly because every minute nor second is very important.

 These pictures were taken when we were Grade 11. The pictures that are very memorable for us because these served as our inspiration to keep moving as a person especially as a student. The memories that we shared for one year and now still counting. Who can say that these students who were strangers in each other before had built up a relationship like a family. There are challenges, struggles, and hurdles that came in our lives but these are not a hindrance for us to give up easily. Even though we face difficulties in life we still raise up and strive more to achieve our goals. The unity that we made is one of a kind thing to us. We laugh at the dumbest jokes, put up with each others worst mood, go along with the craziest ideas, that's what makes us the most amazing best friends. This journey won't be possible without our SNDPA Educators. To our adviser that served as our second parent Sir Dennis V. Vidad, thank you for not giving up on us. Also for the knowledge that you have shared. Thank you for the unconditional love and support that you've given us through these years. Being Grade 11 students were not easy because there are so many trials and errors that we encountered. Despite of this, we passed it and go to the next chapter which is being Grade 12 students. Now that we are facing the next stage of our education, another memories that will keep in our hearts. We will achieve our one goal which is to graduate with flying colors together.

Work Immersion

Job is not only just a label that you required to accomplish. That you have to comply because you need do it or someone told you to do so. But job is also reflects to who you are and what you are because it helps in building your personality.

I am currently enrolled as Grade 12 student in  Sto. Niño De Praga Academy La Paz Homes II Inc. I live in Blk. 1 Lot 17-18 Karlaville Parkhomes, Brgy Hugo Perez, Trece Martires City, Cavite. 18 years of age and my birthday is November 6, 1998. My father's name is Ruel P. Nueva while my mother's name is Eleonor Ledesma who is now working as Accounting Manager in Mahle Company. The skills that I have are hardworking, committed, consistent, leadership, determine, and smart. I have interest in reading novel books and writing fiction stories. One of my greatest achievements is when giving me an opportunity to write an editorial article because I can only express my feelings through writing. I am Jhoannna Marie Fariscal who is inspired and not afraid to express herself.

"Work Immersion refers to the part of the Senior High School (SHS) Curriculum consisting of 80 hours of hands-on experience or work simulation which the Grade 12 students will undergo to expose them to the actual workplace setting and to enrich the competencies provided by the school under the supervision of the School Head and the designated personnel of the Partner". 

This work immersion consists of different designated work places such as Administration Office, School Library, School Canteen, Guidance Counselor Office, Prefect of Discipline Office,  Science Laboratory, Teaching field,  Airconditioning Maintenance, Pro-Dental Clinic, and Sherwood Hills. The students serve as an OJT to their assigned field. Through this, students enhance their skills and knowledge not only by just learning inside the classroom but also learning outside the classroom. Work Immersion helps the students to showcase their talents and develop their minds in building their future. Personal Development is one of significant contribution of it because they can develop not only their skills but also their personalities.

This video catches my attention and gives me motivation in this work immersion. If you will become more hard working, you will aim the success that you deserve. During this immersion, laziness is no place because you have to be determine in giving all your efforts and time for you to  become successful in the future. There are times that failures and struggles comes but this is not a hindrance for you to give up instead this serves motivation for you to strive more and work hard. If you want some thing you can achieve it  no matter how hard it is. Never says that you can't do it, there's always a way for you to can do anything. If you quit that's the end. Better to have a short life that is full you like doing than a long life spending miserable way.
